Colleague, Friend, Protege, Pupil, and Student of the distinguished Metropolitan Opera Leading Soprano, Eleanor Steber, from 1971 till her death. Miss
Steber was a singer who has left the finest discography of any American
Opera Singer. She was a Distinguished Faculty Member of The American
Institute of Musical Studies - Graz, Austria, The Aspen Music Festival,
The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Juilliard School, and The New
England Conservatory of Music.
Marc Alan Innes is one of today's
finest Voice Builder / Voice Teachers, a true Vocal Pedagogist. He has
developed a strong relationship with The Metropolitan Opera as artist
and teacher.
Mr. Innes has appeared in many of the world’s finest opera houses, including The Cleveland Opera, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, The New York City Opera, The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and The Santa Fe Opera.
He
has appeared with many of the world’s finest orchestras, including The
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Boston Symphony Orchestra, The Chicago
Symphony, The London Symphony Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, The
Met Chamber Orchestra, Opera Orchestra of New York, The Philadelphia
Orchestra, and The San Francisco Symphony.
He has also
appeared several times at The Blossom Festival, The Ravinia Festival,
and The Tanglewood Festival. In recital, Mr. Innes has been presented
at The Ravinia Festival, Weill Hall in New York City, Wigmore Hall in
London, The University of Chicago Presents Series, and The University
Musical Society in Ann Arbor.

Innes has worked with include Christoph von Dohnanyi, Christoph
Eschenbach, Vance George, Margaret Hillis, Louis Lane, James Levine,
Lorin Maazel, Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir Neville Marriner, Zubin Mehta,
Seiji Ozawa, Robert Page, and Robert Shaw.
